Wintersday start date ? - Guild Wars Forums

I dont know how many other players are wondering the same thing - when does wintersday start ?
Theres no login announcement ( nothing new there folks ) and for a few days its been put on wiki ( first with last years dates on it then amended ) with no verification.
Anet at times does fail at getting info out to its players - several times events start with no announcements , the ultimate fail and im afraid i hate to sat it was a few years ago when they introduced the 2 xmas quests in snowmen lair.
They seemed to forget they had to announce till last day that there was a chance to get a jingle bear mini from the end chest.
Now as its almost new year as well , lets hope that anets new year resolution would be to give us players info a lot faster and be able to plan our real lives around events and not miss them due to not seeing any announcements.
And before anyone pips in - how would you feel if you missed a few days or even a main event due to anet not letting you know a few days ahead ?

I too have been wondering when the event will start. And for the second question, I'd be a little bummed out/disappointed if I missed something just because from lack of announcements.

its just a rehash of last years info...nothing on the official site yet...though if you go to a few of their pages they are more than a year out of date too.....

guess someone forgot to put it up before they went on winter vacation???

Lol people plan their real lives around events that happen in an online game?

Wintersday comes every year, lasts a few weeks, its hardly a big deal if you aren't informed days in advance.

Wiki says it will start later today.

As for your question, no I would not be bothered if I missed an event because anet didn't let me know a few days before.

I thought it would've started by now and was told as much in game (unreliable). Hopefuly at the latest, Friday!

Remember too that it takes a few days for Grenth to show up for Strength of Snow and Straight to the Heart quests
